Тhe bids in the public tender will be opened on 19 Nov. The works on the building on Kniaz Alexander I will amount to BGN 200,000, the works are to be carried out within four months. The participation guarantee is BGN 1,000, the companies need to have an annual turnover of BGN 500,000 for 2007. Certificate ISO 9001:2000 will prove their quality management system. Bidding papers can be bought by 18 Nov., the opening is on 19 Nov. 2008. The historic building was built in 1953 by a design of a team with leading architect Petso Zlatev. The design competition was announced in 1948. The space between the Royal Palace and the building was the main city square as one of the capital city landmark places. Currently there is a competition for design of the main assembly hall in the building with short-listed seven architectural studios.
